Artisan Bread Making 1

Learn the basics behind preparing and baking baguettes, ciabatta, basic sour dough, farmhouse loaf and Chelsea buns. A full hands-on day where you will have plenty of opportunity to ask questions and discuss baking and issues arising. Saturday Session: 10:00 - 16:00

Beginners Guide to Digital Photography

This course aims to teach the very basics of Digital Photography utilising the settings and controls of your camera. Explore photo manipulation using Adobe Photoshop to produce stunning digital prints. For the first session you will need your camera and the manual if you have one, memory card and USB lead to connect to a computer. A book for your notes. Suggested Equipment: Whilst a digital compact camera is acceptable, to get the most from this course we recommend that students have a dslr camera (digital Single Lens Reflex camera). Beginners Guide to Pruning Shrubs and Trees

Pruning is an important horticultural skill and one that many are keen to get to grips with to ensure their gardens are kept in good order for the following year. The principles of pruning trees and shrubs will be described, tools and equipment will be discussed and demonstrated and a hands-on session will be included to enable the learner to gain experience of pruning a range of trees and shrubs. We will conclude by visiting and pruning our Heritage Apple Orchard. Saturday: 10:00 - 16:00

This course aims to cover some of the basics of cookery looking at sponge and pastry making through to meat and fish cookery whilst improving your knife skills and confidence.
