Practical Horticulture Level 2 Certificate

This course will provide you with the practical skills for the following aspects of gardening; soil testing, plant propagation, ground preparation, planting and sowing, pruning and plant care and growing vegetables. Furniture Making (Furniture Summer School)

The summer school provides delegates with the opportunity to make a side/occasional table with veneered top and dovetailed drawer, using a variety of techniques. The Summer School runs for five consecutive days, information on accommodation is available.

This course will include:

  • To make a handmade side/occasional table with veneered top and dovetailed draw
  • Safe set up and use of hand tools
  • Including sharpening and honing chisels and planes by hand
  • Experience in using hardwoods (ash, beech, mahogany and sapele)

Inspection and Testing Certification (2391-52: Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing)
